Study Circles
So what is a study circle anyway?
The study circle is an element of a distance learning system under the direction
of a training institute. Materials that are covered in study circles are the
sequence of courses as defined by the training institute. Currently, the study
circles in the Arlington area are using a sequence of courses designed by
the Ruhi Institute. (These courses are shown below)
Facilitated by a trained person acting as tutor, the study circle has three
important parts: study, fellowship, and service. The study circle is action
oriented and open to all.
Most study circles have an initial meeting where it is decided where, when
and how often to meet. There are no strict rules dictating these things, it
is left entirely up to the participants and what they feel would be best given
their individual schedules.
Study circles vary in size, some small ones of just two or three people, some
weekend 'intensive' courses of 25 or so, but most average 5 to 7 participants.

Walking together on a path of service
(Ruhi Book 7)
Book 7 of the Ruhi Institute represents something of a culmination
