Urgent request for help!
Seven Bahá'ís in Iran have been in prison for almost a year with no access to their attorney, the Nobel Laureate, Shirin Ebadi. The United States Commission on International Religious Freedom has stated that it fears that the "development signals a return to the darkest days of repression in Iran in the 1980s when Bahá'ís were routinely arrested, imprisoned, and executed."
On 11 February 2009 ISNA news agency reported that "the case will be sent to the revolutionary court next week"
The United States House of Representatives has introduced a resolution, H.Res.175, on the persecution of the Baha’is in Iran. (Download PDF)
